Justin travels to record at numerous studios and also brings his studio to the artist. He primarily mixes at his renovated barn studio in the Hudson Valley, New York.
Not only has he worked with Americana, Folk, Roots Music legends, his repertoire reaches all genres including: Blue Grass, Jazz, Classical, Finnish Blues and Folk, Rock, Indie, and Pop.

After working closely together since 2005 with Levon Helm on his Grammy winner for Best Traditional Folk Album Dirt Farmer- Larry Campbell and Justin Guip have forged ahead as a Producer and Recording/Mix Engineer team that has earned the two recognition for turning Levon Helm’s Barn studio in Woodstock, New York into the “…Muscle Shoals of roots music,” as noted by writer Brian Robbins (JamBands.com).
Roger Waters of Pink Floyd on the Howard Stern show (January 18, 2012) discussing his favorite sounding records said, “I do latch on to music sometimes and then I become obsessed with it. The last record was Dirt Farmer. You know, the Levon Helm album.”
Campbell also lead the Midnight Rambles as Musical Director and has won both the prestigious Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement and Instrumentalist of the Year awards in 2008 and 2013 respectively. As a Producer and multi-instrumentalist with an impressive list of credits (larrycampbellmusic.net) Campbell is one of the most sought after in the music industry.
